Why did I choose this speech?

 The Freedom or death-Emmeline Pankhurst

In 1903, Emmeline Pankhurst founded the Women's Social and Political Union, which used militant tactics to agitate for women's suffrage. Pankhurst was imprisoned many times, but supported the war effort after World War I broke out. Parliament granted British women limited suffrage in 1918. Pankhurst died in 1928, shortly before women were given full voting rights.

Firstly, I choose this speech because de way she express is amazing and also the way she says people to choose between giving us freedom or death and thus stimulates them not to give up and keep fightingSecondly what attracted my attention the most with the speech is the way of expressing himself and that was amazing and impressive I also liked that he does not speak very fast because normally the people of the USA speak very fast.Thirdly I also choose this because I think is not really difficult express like she do it, but the difficult part is that she is from UK and it will surely be difficult but I'm sure I can get as close as possible to that accent that she has.

Besides, I think is a speech that put the suffragettes into action, the leader of the British suffragettes made a speech in London demanding the right to vote for women. She always tried to balance a claim for justice. She would also promote other social movements to help the underprivileged.Emmeline would promote the values of the western democracies against the German enemy, during the First World War.I do not come here as an advocate, because whatever position the suffrage movement may occupy in the United States of America, in England it has passed beyond the realm of defense and into the realm of practical politics”.( Emmeline Pankhurst.1913) This is what she said.

Finally, I think this speech is awesome for many things, she use interesting words and give entonation in words to give more enfasis to them, she tray to give a message to the peolple that is: "We suffragettes have the greatest mission the world has ever known: liberate half the human race and, through that freedom, save the rest."
